The Sporter Rifle Rifle Team is part of a shooting group consisting of members in New York, They are THE FINGER LAKES LEAGUE, THE NIAGARA LEAGUE, THE TEN-X LEAGUE, THE MOHAWK LEAGUE, THE ADIRONDACK LEAGUE, THE EMPIRE LEAGUE, THE HUDSON VALLEY LEAGUE, The total members shooting Sporter Rifle comes to between 750-800 members.. 

Sporter Rifle was started here at Tri-State by Jim Eckert senior, and Charlie Hildebrandt who was his assistant, in the day. They had all the Juniors including his grandchildren shooting . Jim still lives right here in Port Jervis on Hudson Street. There's a wall of all the winning plaques in our club meeting room.

Even if you want don't want to shoot for score come to practice..  You are more than welcome.

The fun starts Wednesday nights at 7:00. at the clubs Indoor Range on the end of Orange Street at..266 for your GPS.

The competition of sporter rifle is 21 weeks of shooting.
We use 22 cal rifles our targets are set at  50 ft indoors.
All rifles are welcome with or without a scope.
Maximum weight 7.50 lbs.  Only the best of five shooter's scores are sent into the competition for scoring!  More shooters the better!

                                          We shoot NRA targets, A-32.
